Who We Are
Prose for Patients is a nonprofit initiative dedicated to deepening human connection through storytelling. We believe that words—whether in the form of poetry, prose, or short reflections—can comfort, inspire, and heal. Our volunteers, patients, and writers come together to share moments that bridge the gap between hospital walls and the outside world.
What We Do
We encourage hospital volunteers to write poetry and stories inspired by their patient conversations, transforming those experiences into a literary magazine that highlights voices of empathy and resilience. Each issue features original works created in collaboration with patients and volunteers, celebrating the everyday humanity found in healthcare spaces.
